From starting up in 2019, our hostel has been growing and getting better every year. We now have 3 dorms and 5 private rooms for a total capacity of 24 guests. On top of that, the office serves as the main reception for our daily hiking tours and we even have a small trail shop on site as well. As a full service hostel, we are constantly trying to up our game by offering activities, services and experiences to our guests to enhance their stay in the national park. Some of these activities are planned events, such as bonfires, movie nights and planned trail walks, not to mention offering guided tours to locations throughout the area.

Responsibilities include manning reception, selling outdoor gear, handling reservations and check-ins, supervising and organizing volunteers, ensuring the rooms and common spaces are cleaned daily and planning activities on a weekly basis.

Qualifications:
Previous hospitality experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to entertain clients from all walks of life.
English fluency is mandatory, French fluency is an asset.
Required Certification:
First Aid or above
Driver's license valid for Canada
Computer proficiency
POS proficiency

Compensation:
$15-20 per hour

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals with strong leadership skills to lead hiking tours into the backcountry of Gros Morne National Park. Our main offering is the Western Brook Pond Day hike, but may include hikes in other locations.
The daily routine involves driving from our shop in Rocky Harbour, walking into the boat dock, taking a high speed shuttle boat and then hiking up to the viewpoint and back down. Tours usually take 10-12 hours and are very strenuous. Guides need to be in great physical shape and capable up hiking up and down the mountain with all required safety gear, all the while ensuring group safety and providing an entertaining and educational experience to our clients.
Non-smokers preferred.
Qualifications:
Previous back-country experience
Strong Navigation skills
Well versed in flora and fauna of the boreal forest ecosystem.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to entertain clients from all walks of life.
English fluency is mandatory, French fluency is an asset.
Required Certification:
Wilderness First Aid or above
Driver's license valid for Canada

$150 - $250 per day
